I was never a huge book reader when I was growing up, I’d be the person who would wait for the movie version to be released instead. The last few months in lockdown has led me to start reading some books so I figured I would share my monthly reads with you. Here are 6 Books I’ve Read & Rated During Lockdown So Far!
I’ve seen a lot of people in the same situation as me where they have taken up reading during the last few months. Here are some books I’ve read & what I’d rate them 1-5. I intend to write a full review on each book but for now this is just a list of what I’ve read. Be sure to keep a lookout on my Twitter to be notified when I post the full reviews.

The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Alicia Berenson lived a seemingly perfect life until one day six years ago. When she shot her husband in the head five times.
Since then she hasn’t spoken a single word.
It’s time to find out why.

Help Me! by Marianne Power ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Marianne Power was stuck in a rut. Then one day she wondered: could self-help books help her find the elusive perfect life?
She decided to test one book a month for a year, following their advice to the letter. What would happen if she followed the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People? Really felt The Power of Now? Could she unearth The Secret to making her dreams come true?

Here to Stay by Mark Edwards⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
A beautiful home. A loving wife. And in-laws to die for.
Gemma Robinson comes into Elliot’s life like a whirlwind, and they marry and settle into his home. When she asks him if her parents can come to stay for a couple of weeks, he is keen to oblige – he just doesn’t quite know what he’s signing up for.

The Cows by Dawn O’ Porter ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Because sometimes it’s OK not to follow the herd.
Three women. A whole world of judgement. Tara, Cam and Stella are very different women. Yet in a society that sets the agenda, there’s something about being a woman that ties invisible bonds between us.

My One Month Marriage ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
“I just need to know…which one of you slept with my husband?”
You know that “till death do us part” bit in the wedding vows? Well, Zoe Danton believed it. One month after she said “I do”, the man she loved is gone, given his marching orders after Zoe discovered a devastating secret.

The Other Wife by Claire McGowan ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
She’s a total stranger. But she knows who you are…
Caught up in their own secrets and lies, three strangers will soon realise they have more in common than they could ever have imagined. When a shocking event brings them together, their lives will never be the same again.

Help me! by Marianne Power sounds pretty good! It’s awesome by the way that you’ve gotten into reading a bit more!
I really want to read The Cows. It has such a striking cover and I’ve heard SO many good things! Thank you for the recommendations 🙂
It’s definitely worth the read! x
I recently finished Help Me! by Marianne Power and I quite enjoyed it, although it was a bit slow in place. It had some good ideas behind it though and I’d be willing to try a similar experiment! 😂 I also LOVED The Cows – I’d never read anything like it. It was funny, sad, and it was actually quite refreshing to read about topics that are often shied away from in most books. I’ve heard So Lucky by Dawn O’Porter is really good and along similar themes so I’m going to give that one ago soon! xx
Thanks so much for reading! Yes, So Lucky is on my reading list too! I’ve heard it’s good xx
I’ve been looking for new books to read in lockdown thank you for the ideas!
Great post!
