Recently I’ve been making a conscious effort to control what content I consume. I’ve noticed that my mental health hadn’t been in the best space for the last two weeks and I think it’s largely due to the fact that I was spending hours a day just looking through Facebook & Instagram. Watching people live their ‘perfect’ lives or so they would portray! So, I took action & deleted the Facebook app off my phone, purged my Instagram follow list & started following people who inspire me. People whose content makes me feel better about myself and content that just makes me happy.
As well as purging my social media I’ve been replacing radio stations with podcasts. I’m still pretty new to the whole podcast world but it’s amazing how much information and knowledge is available that you won’t get from other sources.
I’ve been listening to them while out walking, getting ready in the mornings, and while just pottering about my day. I like to listen to various topics that I listen to such as personal development, fitness, health, self-love. They all motivate me in different ways so I’ve included them in this list.
